CNET Editors' review
This freeware offers an effective magnifier for easy viewing of Web page text and images, but it's designed exclusively for Internet Explorer 6. Big.com Web Magnifier places an additional toolbar on your browser window. Simply click one of the " " buttons for the three available magnification levels, and the current Web page is effectively resized. The program was a bit sluggish in our tests, which may irritate less-patient users. If you don't mind the wait, this freeware toolbar can make Web pages easier to see.Publisher's Description

"would not recommend this software"
Version: Big.com Web Magnifier 1
Pros
I was able to uninstall it withing 5 minutes of installing it.
Cons
It seemed to freeze up my browser for a moment before going to a web page. It did not magnify all objects on the page which made the page all whacked up.

"Perfect for toggling to larger fonts on web pages with uncomfortably small text"
Version: Big.com Web Magnifier 1
Pros
This is a very effective and simple way to quickly toggle to a larger font (and then back again) for those articles and web pages with tiny text. The big.com download adds a few icons to the toolbar which are quick and still provide very nice, clean looking text. I bought a new laptop recently with higher resolution and a wide-screen aspect ratio (previous laptop was standard 4:3 ratio), and had found that on many web pages, even with IE6 fonts set to larger font setting, that the articles and detailed web pages were unaffected by the larger settings and consequently, the text was uncomfortably tiny to read for long periods. The big.com download allows me to quickly change to a more comfortable font size to read those pages, and then quickly convert back. Simple, clean, elegant solution. When first installed, the new icons are too big and take up another row of toolbar space, but just go to the "options" button to change that and it is easily made smaller and incorporated into an existing toolbar, so as not to take up any additional screen real estate.
Cons
This is minor, but the download had a checkbox for installing the big.com search box as well as the magnification icons. Though I unchecked the search box, it was added anyway.
