Bad CD/DVD Recovery is Professional the leading data recovery software for CD, DVD. Bad CD/DVD Recovery can effectively recover and rescue corrupted or lost data from damaged, unreadable or defective disks. Bad CD/DVD Recovery (download) tool was developed for recovering damaged files from different disk types: CD, DVD, HD DVD, Blu-Ray. You can use it to restore information lost as a result of some mechanical damage of the disk (scratches, chips, different spots on the surface) or as a result of incorrect recording. Thus, the program can recover data that was considered lost. The Bad CD/DVD Recovery scans any CD and DVD disks and finds files and folders located there. We should mention that there can be some information on the disk that cannot be recovered. Not all of the files and folders can be found - that depends on the degree and location of the damage. Therefore, the Bad CD/DVD Recovery it's tool finds the possible maximum amount of information. After that, it shows a list of all files and folders available for recovery. Now the user can select the files and folders to be recovered. Those specific objects will be recovered while the others will be ignored. The program recovers the maximum amount of information in the damaged file. This reduces the risk of data loss considerably. Version 2.40 build 4900 recovers files over 4 GB and recovery lost sesions.

Cons: Doesn't even find the DVD and as I couldn't try saving anyway how do I know it works. Forget it.

Cons: This software is total crap. It gave me nothing but runtime errors, then froze my machine up. I had to go into Task Manager and manually shut it down. Don't waste your time with this piece of junk software. Oh, and did I mention that I gave it two tries? I installed it, re-booted and tried to run it once. Crash. "Ah", I thought, "Let's give it another try." So I uninstalled it and then re-installed. Then I re-booted and tried to run it again. Same crap the second time. Runtime errors and a frozen program. Nothing in it worked. I really wish cnet would try these programs themselves before allowing a posting on the downloads section. How 'bout it cnet?!

Pros: I like this program a professional approach to the rescue CD / DVD. As one is able to recover the disc correctly with the incomplete session. Through this program regained photos, video, and important data.

"Works sometimes, but support is non-existant: Avoid!"
Pros: Nice looking interface and the functionality works sometimes.
Cons: No support. The links to support email do not work.
Summary: This is a product that looks professional and is pretty good when it can recover data (remember no product is 100% guaranteed), however, the support links do not work and the purchasing is amatuer.
