Version: BackMaster 4.01
Pros: Easy to use and understand. Guides you thru if you want in a clear concise manner. Full, Incremental and Differential backups. Backup Catalog makes restoration and organization much easier. Backs up to most media (except FTP I think -- but I don't use that anyway). Compression optional, does imaging -- but I didn't try that -- more interested in file by file.
Cons: No real cons that I can see after a quick use, but a couple of wishes -- Would be perfect if it could catalog other backup disks I have (and including MP3s and photos). Would be outrageously perfect if it could remind me where Uncle Billy hides Outlook and Outlook Express data.

Version: BackMaster 4.01
"Easy to use, Blazingly Fast, and Disaster Recovery that really works."
Pros: This thing is FAST! It installs easily. The built-in tutorial makes it easy to understand. This product is blazingly fast. When backing up to an External SATA drive, it was easily 2x as fast as EMC Retrospect, and almost as fast as disk imaging products. It backed up all of my locked and open files including email. The disaster recovery really Rocks! It comes with a custom boot disk creator that adds my 3rd party storage drivers inclugin my SATA drivers to my Emergency Boot CD. I have not seen any other products that do this. For backup to E-SATA, BackMaster is fantastic. The emergency boot disk also contains a disk partitioning tool. One benefit over image backup is that when I restored to a clean hard drive, ALL my files were defragmented. I didn't get this with image backup tools like True Image or Ghost.
Cons: Price. At $59 is is a little more expensive than some competitors, but still worth checking out.

Version: BackMaster 4.01
Pros: Easy to use. Backs up and restores without shutting down computer. Smooth and easy backups and restores. Computer Plebes like me can use it without being baffled by computer jargon.
Cons: Where is the download for the $19.95 license which is advertised on the Free Download site. At this price I am interested in purchasing product.
How many computers can you run on this license? I need at least five.
