• Vid editing great, serious audio rec/edit problems

  Great screen vid editing tools. Very slick, ez to use. Love it, Love it.

  Cons

  poor audio. produces gravely sounding, static sounding audio. I've been in touch with BBFback support and they can't seem to fix this problem although they say my system(s) is well within the spec range. I've tried this on a desktop, laptop and even took the laptop to another building to test for interference and had same result. If they can fix this and send me a new build, I would recommend it. As of now I'd say save your $200 for another program as the audio recording/edit is unusable.

  BB Flashback pro is the best screen casting application I have ever used. It's low system impact combined with ease of use and multiple formats to export in, will ensure that your screen casts are of the highest quality. The application is also able to change your screen resolution while recording, which is a feature I used a lot when I had my old monitor, it allowed me to make HD screen casts for YouTube. This software is well worth purchasing at only £124 which is quite cheap for professional grade software. The editor is also amazingly easy and simple to use, but for first time users it can be a little confusing. Other than that I highly recommend that you all give BB Flashback pro a try, you will not be disapointed.

  I tried a few free screen recorders and then found the express version of BB flashback. That was the pick of the bunch but we needed something more for work so I got the company to buy the pro version. Everyone loves it.

  Pros

  I use BB Flashback in my classroom. I teach graphic arts, such as Photoshop and using BB Flashback has greatly improved my students ability in learning Photoshop. The program is very small and easy to learn and the ability to export the video file to a standalone exe file is great, because there's no player needed. I also us a microphone to record my voice. This is a great program.

  Cons

  If you give instructions on the computer this program offers the ability to record full screen or just a reagion of the screen in full color and audio. Easy to set and use shortcut keys. The ability to edit the movie file and insert extera audio and text and the ability to export to many different file types.

  It kept my mind occupied at trying all the whistles and bells to see if this program was really worth $200.

  Nope! Make that a double. Immediately upon uninstalling BB Recorder, my PC start up time doubled, and once I got into Windows my PC started taking on some very irritating spasms in the display and video arena. After some simple investigating, I found I still had about $100 worth of BB Recorder software on my system. It had attached and configured itself as a graphics\video driver in my control panel, and played havoc with my boot files and registry files. After a lot of find and fix, and frustration, I got my PC almost back to where it was. If you try this program you may as well buy the program. In my opinion the program isn't worth anywhere near $200, but neither is all the aggravation you will have to go through if you try and uninstall it. The price of this program is equal to the price of Windows XP Professional. I think someone is in need of a reality check and it isn't Bill Gates, or me!

• An Alpha Male Program With Type "A" Personality

  It does a good job recording flash programs and converting photos into WMP files. I could not however, after several attempts, get anything to comply with Powerpoint Viewer.

  I don't like, No.., actually I hate.... programs that upon install, try to take a dominant role within my OS, especially when I am not presented with an option, or atleast a simple courtesy warning. BB Flash Recorder is guilty of all the above. My bad experience started immediately after uninstalling this program. My PC would not boot into Windows and {in brief, without details} my only option was to use my XP CD at start up, and repair my hard drive; in order to successfully boot up into Windows. Once I got back into Windows I did a little investigating. In Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager, I found that BB Flash recorder had boldly installed itself as an additional display adapter, and refused to go away with the rest of the program at time of uninstall. It went lurking around behind my back and married itself in with my Nvidia display adapter. #1. I see no valid reason why this program must take on the position of display adapter. #2. If there is a valid reason, don't try and reconfigure my OS without my knowledge. #3 If you are going to be a jerk and boldly reconfigure my settings without warning; .....then get your act together and see that it uninstalls inself as display adapter, along with the rest of the program, at the time of uninstall. I have to wonder if the developer has ever had an issue with being bullied.
