  Skip the free trial. The size of the final productis limited in the free trial This software is Mac ONLY I've made 5 audiobooks in 2 hours. And that's while I'm sitting at work doing many other things. I havent' had any problems yet. The software really does all the work and the interface is SUPER easy to work with. I can drag and drop all the files in an audiobook in one step without any difficulty. I just used the software to build 'Ender's Game'. I was working with 67 separate tracks. I consolidated them into one track, M4B (itunes), with bookmarking and shuffle skip all with ONE button click. This is how easy it is: 1. open software 2. click new project 3. enter title of book and author if you wish 4. on same screen drag and drop artwork if you wish. (google is your friend) click next 5. drag and drop audio tracks to this screen 6. OPTIONAL: click the zipper button (get it? cute right?) to join all the tracks and create one track. really nice because it's bookmarked so you will not lose your place. click next 7. click create audiobook 8.you'll get a screen telling you where your book will go. it will also automatically put it in itunes. click ok 9. the software will do it's thing while you keep busy with something else. 10. DING! you have an audiobook and it's optimized for itunes. Rinse, repeat

  Pros

  Gives you multiple ways to rip audio books from CDs and either take their chapter marks (tracks) or actually create your OWN based on actual book chapters.

  This program allows me to transfer audio books on CD to files I can play on my iPod conveniently and neatly. The resulting "book" is simple to use and allows for an attractive "cover."

  Pros

  Took Spanish lesson CDs that I had already burned to disk and in iTunes so loaded this into my first project. Everything was a simple drag from iTunes and drop into AudioBook Builder software.

  Cons

  My original 100 audio tracks ended up into a one file Playlist. How can I possibly keep track of where I am at or restart one of the 100 lessons when I must restart at the beginning in here. 20 minutes for trial version keeps me from more testing.

  Summary

  I don't know what this product is meant to produce since I only get one file under "Books" and the same one file under Playlists. The 20 minute free preview use is limiting what I can test.

  I listen to audiobooks while walking in the morning, and this sporadic listening makes bookmarking software for audiobooks a must. This software is great for those of us who can't remember our place by memorizing the time on the MP3 where we stopped. Recommended.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />This is by far the most useful piece of shareware I have ever downloaded for personal use (I couldn't live without Passenger at work). I tried the demo by putting together a 2-disc audio book in 19 minute chunks (the unregistered version has a 20 minute limit). It worked flawlessly, so I gladly paid the 10 dollars and began building usable files. I had many audio books that I had ripped from CD's and ended up with many files that were a pain to keep track of on my iPod. If you copy your audiobook cd's to your iPod, you MUST buy this. It will be the best 10 dollars you ever spend!!

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />It would be great, if we could edit more ID3-tag-Infos when preparing the AudioBook. Now, when we want to have these infos inside the AudioBook, we have to take the already "ready" AudioBook, a second time "into our hands", and edit it in iTunes, what is very time consuming. The programmers should let us edit not only Titel and Author, but also Year, Genre, Comment, Album, etc.

Simple and effective. Use it with M4PConverter and it'll pay for itself. Save $ and the planet by not wasting CDs to burn legally owned media - only to import back to a HD for storage.
