Used Audio Transcoder for Windows?
Editors’ Review
Audio Transcoder is an intuitive program that allows users to convert files between a wide variety of audio formats. It's not the fanciest program we've ever seen, but it's easy to use.
The program's interface is basic and no-frills, with its two major functions--a CD ripper and audio converter--arranged in separate tabs. We found both features easy to use, with a series of check boxes and drop-down menus allowing us to select tracks, format file names, edit meta data, and choose formats. Both ripping and converting files is as simple as choosing your preferred options and clicking a button. The program saves the files in a location specified by the users. The program's built-in Help file is well-written and thorough, with a lot of screenshots. Audio Transcoder is a fairly basic program, but it delivers plenty of features. The program allows users to convert files between 15 different formats, including MP3, MP4, and Ogg Vorbis. Users can also choose from 25 different levels of audio quality, from CD quality to 20 Kbps. A built-in audio player allows users to preview files without opening a separate application, and batch mode can convert a large number of files at once. Overall, we found Audio Transcoder to be both versatile and easy to use, and we think it's a great option for both ripping CDs and converting audio files.
Audio Transcoder has a 14-day trial period. It installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend this program to all users.
