This used to be FIVE STAR software, but it's been nearly a year since it's been updated, and doesn't work in Mountain Lion.

It is a promising start with some flaws - chief among them that searches (be it by URL, sellerID or other) can lead to runaway processes (eg no search result although I have the same eBay page open in Safari, search keeps churning forever, CPU goes to 100% for Auction Hunter). Stopping the search (top left) does not stop the process - your only recourse is to quit Auction Hunter. Another minor annoyance is that the colouring works only inconsistently (some won auctions are not shown in green).

It makes this littel app do all the thing that make shopping with eBay the easy way. Search Track Bid - all is easy to manage. Thans to the developer and - give this application a chance, test it and you will buy it!

I am glad it works again and gives that working with ease on eBay back again. Searching, tracking and bidding is so easy with Auction Hunter. Test it and buy it. I am sure you will like it. Worth itÃ¢??s money and a bit more I think.

Started up the app and gave it my eBay acct credentials. When it logged in, I somewhat expected it to populate the Auction Items list with items I'm currently watching and bidding on in My eBay. That didn't happen. I used a similar app back in the Mac OS 9 days that had this feature. Guess I expected too much. To be fair, they don't claim that it will do this at all; I just had unreal expectations. DId the drag and drop thing from the web browser; seemed a bit low tech, but it worked fine. I did a search to add items to the list, but it had too many unwanted items. Is there a way to search sub-categories, e.g. Cars & Trucks in eBay Motors? Shouldn't I able to come up with the same list of items in Auction Hunter searches that I find in eBay searches? I didn't get the chance to dig deeper because Auction Hunter crashed on me within the first 15 minutes (I'm running 10.5.4 on a Macbook). Not sure what's up with that. Got it to restart, but it's still not exactly what I'm looking for. It may be fine for other folks. I really miss that old app from Mac OS 9; it worked very well. What was it called again????

Interface very well organized and defintely Mac-like. Developer has been very responsive when I contacted him. I have not missed a single auction after I started using Auction Hunter. Snipe tool is sooooo cool, I literally blow away competitors! Also search tool and the ability to organize folder helps even further in managing auctions. 5+ stars on my side! Ale.

I tried Auction Hunter for the first time today, and after playing with it for an hour, paid to register it. I have a couple of small auctions today on which to test the snipe capability. I understand the "arms race" in which ebay engages--unethically it seems to me--to break the sniping capabilities of third party software. I also understand the crybabies who claim that sniping is unfair. Oh well. Even if AH doesn't work any more reliably than JBW did, its Cocoa foundation and OS X-like presentation is so much more attractive. And that alone made it worthwhile. I plan to share some suggestions with the developers, mostly along the lines of including some JBW-like capabilities. Among other things, I would like narrower rows, so that I can see more of my auction data at one time without having to scroll. And within the "All" view, I would like some more clear designations of those items I am bidding n, those that are Hot, and those I have set to snipe. Also, twice today it has beach-balled on me, so I had to knock off a point on stability. And while I do not think the price is unfair, I think it is a tad high; if support remains good, it will be worth it.

Even this version 1.0rc9, but the Auction Hunter Version 1.0rc10b4 WORKS LIKE A DREAM. I haven't missed a single snipe. I don't know what spices you put into that pot of soup but it made it taste just right. I'm so happy to finally have a sniping tool work again after months of failure. It feels so good to be able to have faith in a sniping application for once, instead of crossing my fingers. Then for some odd reason (most likely Apple Security Update) all the snipers stops working. I sent an email to Maxi Bidder and never got a reply, but left a comment on my comment on versiontracker that it was me, java, my computer, (did a clean install not archived), or firewall that was the problem. Then why does Action Hunter Version 1.0rc10b4 work. The support and greased lightning email reply for this application is the BEST ever.
