  I am responsible for maintaing and propagating changes across several code trees of 10,000+ files. I bought a copy of Araxis 2001, and had used it for years in this capacity. Teh old version did have a problem, flagging large text files as different when they were in fact identical. We had worked around this by using md5sum to determine which files were actually different. Bought the 2012 release, and find that in addition to it's old bad habit of false positives, we are seeing files with significant, non-whitespace differences flagged as identical. We have provided Araxis support with sample files where the compare fails, either positively or negatively. To date, we have not received any response from Araxis. So no matter how nice the UI is, this tool is a liability. Save you money. -Sadie Brown

  Easy to merge changes and it does a good job of matching code together. Easy to do comparisons from folder level by context menu.
