This powerful tool recovers deleted partitions, files, and more, but it could be a tad complex for novice users. Arax Disk Doctor Data Recovery's interface is a lesson in good design. Information windows are easily resized, and toolbars and file menus are logically placed and everything is well-documented.
Novice-friendly wizards make it a snap to search for and recover deleted files. The time to scan a drive is entirely dependent on its size and complexity. Unfortunately, this utility doesn't estimate the time needed. You can easily stop a scan before it completes, but our tests took only moments for a 465GB drive. The wizard includes many novice-friendly options to simplify finding the deleted files. Restoring a recoverable file takes a mere click. Every step of the wizard is available through direct options for the advanced user.
Arax Disk Doctor Data Recovery is flexible enough to handle most drive types and partition problems. The demo version is limited to restoring files of less than 64KB and cannot recover partitions. This utility is strong enough for all advanced users and can be easily operated by novices. Recovering files is logical, efficient, and speedy. We can easily recommend this program for all users needing to recover lost files and repair drive partitions.

"Repaired drive corrupted by faulty enclosure"

Summary
When one of my external hard drive enclosures died it corrupted the disk. Arax DDDR was able to get this drive up and running again w/o loss of any data. Worked great for me!

Summary
I accidentally corrupted my D drive by cancelling an operation to resize the partition in GParted. I tried everything to get the partition restored, Check Disk, NTFS Fix, GParted, test disk, and nothing would work, the partition just came up as RAW in windows.
So I decided I would need to use a recovery tool in order to retrieve my files and save them onto an external USB. I first tried some free tools, including PhotoRec.
The problem with this software was that it renamed everything arbitrarily and put all files in a flat folder. Making it difficult to find anything at all really.
Next I tried Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery and this had the same problem. Due to the partition being corrupt, I had to use the RAW recovery option and again this used arbitrary file names and a flat folder. It was also horrendously slow.
Finally I tried Arax Disk Doctor Data Recovery. Initially I tried to use the recover partition feature, but the software told me it could not recover the partition as it overlaps a current active partition. Fair enough, I had expanded my C drive when I corrupted the D parition, so this makes sense.
I exited the wizard and the software had saved my parition scan to the left pane, I could see my lost partition labelled 'Drive 0 [poor]'. I selected this drive and clicked scan. Almost instantly I could see all of my files, with original names and in the original folder structure in the right pane.
From here you can select all or specific files and folders and click recover. This prompts you to select a destination and some other options, I chose my portable USB hdd and selected OK.
The software started recovering my files to my external HDD, at a speed that I would say is equivalent to me copying actual files from my PC to USB HDD.
I cannot recommend this software enough, it did exactly what I wanted in a quick an easy manner. -

When all O/S abandoned my disk, this utility recognized and recovered my data with relative ease and speed! I thought my data is lost forever, but will vouch for ARAX now..
Cons
Didn't see much (Although, one comment is that the UI Options could be a bit more in English. Even for tech guy like me, the options had to be tried and tested before understood

After a dozen tries, email & calls they still haven't gotten my outlook fixed. The one tech I got said he didn't know how to fix it & said the engineer in Georgia would call after lunch. 3 days later no call. Live chat didn't work either.
Summary
Just because the demo shows data, don't expect it to get back into your Outlook 2000. Got a no one available the times I tried live chat. Authorization to run the purchased software came by email. The deletion problem I had blocked getting/sending email. Finally got program activated and still no luck.
