If you've ever installed a new program, then realized you installed it in the wrong folder, this handy utility may be the perfect tool for you.
Application Mover efficiently takes the contents of any folder and moves them to a user-specified area elsewhere on your hard drive. The easy-to-understand interface makes using the program a breeze. Specify the folder your program or files are in and where you'd like everything moved to, and you're set. Other options include a thorough search of the registry and shortcuts, which are all changed automatically if chosen. Users also can request an update to the installer logs. These functions are all recommended, along with the confirmation once complete.
As simple as Application Mover makes the process seem, we still recommend that you understand what's going on behind the scenes before moving application directories. But if you're confident that you know what you're doing, Application Mover can help make the move much easier.
Publisher's description
From Funduc Software :Application Mover relocates installed programs from one path to another on your hard disk. Application Mover takes files found in the path specified in the 'Current Path' field and moves them to the 'New Path' path. Application Mover scans the windows registry for references to files located in the 'Current' field and changes those references to the New path. Application Mover also scans all windows shortcuts in the Start Menu and adjusts path references to the new program location. Finally, *.ini and Install.log files present in the original program path are checked for strings matching the old path location. If found, these strings are changed to the new location.

Version: Application Mover 2.6
"Great software very easy to use."
Pros: Saved my a**! I don't know what else I could do other than reinstalling everying. Laplink could not work because I was trying to recover from a partition on an external hard drive, only the boot was severly corrupt, everything else was okay.
Cons: Like I said, this product is great, my only problem was it did not update the Program list on the Start Menu Programs, but did copy some of the desktop icons.
Summary: GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!
A miracle of luck to have found it. Like I said in the Cons section, only one. Excellent solution to a major undertaking.
I made shortcuts from the Program Files directory to my desktop. If anyone know... read more >> -
Version: Application Mover 2.6
"#1 way to migrate programs from old to new drive"
Pros: Simply select the directory of the program you want to move from/to. The new location is updated and the registry is copied from the old drive to match the new location.
Cons: I can't think of anything I didn't like about this program.
Summary: This program allows movement of programs from a drive that won't run Windows any more, due to virus attack or other software problem, to a fresh new drive with any Windows OS already installed.
