Aoao Batch Rename provides a smooth way to rename an infinite number of files at once. With its functions broken down to the most basic components, users of any skill level will be able to utilize it.

The program's interface felt delightfully simple to us. What few commands there were felt intuitive, which was handy since there was no Help file. We simply picked a handful of files from our collection and entered the name we'd like to see them called into the appropriate field. There were also serial-number-assigning tools that were east to understand. We appreciated that the program listed the old file name and the new file name alongside each other, giving us an opportunity to make sure everything looked appropriate. The program renamed all the items in a snap and didn't change anything about their content or locations, which we loved. While its functionality shined, the program completely lacked any special features. We've tested similar programs that offer basic watermark makers, which would have been a nice touch, but is ultimately not necessary. The overall program worked well and provided efficient results.

This is a freeware program. Aoao Batch Rename offers fast changes for renaming files. We recommend it.

Easy to use / Small file size

> Easy to figure out even if it had no instructions. > A preview of the OLD vs NEW filenames appear on screen so you can quickly figure out if it is what you want. > The software is an EXE file that just loads & does not need to be installed. > Have used it to rename thousands of pics, especially when there are a lot of holiday shots that need to be sorted & organised.
Cons
For a fast, easy & free software? NONE at all.

Pros
It has a simple interface and was very easy to use. I was able to rename all of my photos very quickly, only with slight loading lag for larger folders. Even then, the photos were renamed in a snap!
Cons
A user/help guide was missing, but wasn't really necessary. Only took a second to figure out which buttons did what.
Summary
This is an excellent piece of software. I created this account just to submit this review and make sure that others get to use it. It does exactly what it says it will, and quickly to boot. Another great thing about this software is that it *doesn't* re-organize your photos. I've had issues with other renaming programs moving my photos out of the order I had them in and re-arranging them in a seemly random order. Bottom-line: Download this program if you need to rename a large number of pictures!

Its very simple. Its easy to use, No installation needed. Just run and do the job. No mess in the registry. No crappy interface
Cons
Its very simple and May not fulfil some advanced requirements. Buts its pretty good for basic rename operation.

Simple interface, handles renaming multiple files effectively (177 pics renamed in testing).

Not many options, but it's freeware, so that's expected.
