Amazon Top Sellers is a free Firefox extension that displays Amazon's top sellers at the bottom of your browser window. Though it performed its job, it lacked any kind of customization.
When installed, the add-on unobtrusively adds one of five categories--books, DVD, electronics, music, toys--to the bottom of your browser window. Following each category name are links to the top five sellers within that category. Clicking on each link takes you the corresponding Amazon Web page. At the end of the list resides a More link that takes you to the category's Web page. The program works well, but you can't customize the categories to your liking. In other words, you're stuck with the categories it gives you.
If you like staying on top of the latest books, DVDs, electronics, music, and toys, this add-on is for you. Otherwise, you're better off visiting Amazon to research top sellers in your favorite categories.

From YourFirefoxAddons :Amazon Top Sellers is an add-on that lists Amazon.com's top sellers along the bottom of your browser window. You choose the category you want (books, DVD, electronics), and a live, constantly refreshing feed provides a clickable list of titles that leads you directly to the item at Amazon. The links appear in groups of five, and subtly refresh every 60 seconds. On the menu bar itself, you click on the category, which changes to either a) books, b) electronics, c) toys, d) DVD, or e) music. What ever is selling fast and now on Amazon.com will always be one click away at the bottom of your browser. And if you just want to shop instead, there is also a "More" link at the end of the displayed linked items. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

Version: Amazon Top Sellers (Firefox Extension) 6.0
Pros: Overall this is a good idea
Cons: Problem that I have is the very limited categories that are watched. Personally I am a contractor and would like it if it watched the tool category. I also think it would be much better if it were at all customizable. For example, just like the #1 and #2 best sellers in a certain category or the #1 in a couple different categories that you pick. Hopefully in the future they can add these options.

Pros: I love movies. I love to own movies, but I always seem to forget to buy them. I usually go to Amazon to buy, but I always end up forgetting one or two and have to reorder. I then found out about the Amazon Top Sellers extension, and I love it. It puts a toolbar on your desktop that links to the site. I just set the menu to DVDs and Voila! The best and fastest sellers are right there, constantly refreshing, just like that. I just click on them and add them to my shopping cart, and when I?ve got all I want, I buy. It?s great.

Pros: I don't have to keep up with much of anything anymore - all new best sellers are always right there. I love it.
