CNET Editors' review
Alt+Tab Tuner gives you granular control over Windows 7's Alt+Tab preview and window-switching hot-key combo. That's pretty much all it does, but it's an incredible depth of fine-tuning.
Users can adjust the margins on the top, bottom, or side of the global preview window; change the number of columns and rows that those previews appear in; and change the amount of spacing between each preview thumbnail. Users can also tweak the program icon location and size; the preview thumbnail size; the milliseconds the global preview window takes to fade out; and the opacity of the previews' transparency.
The interface is arranged like an equalizer, with slide controls, but each toggle also allows users to type in by hand a precise setting. Because the utility uses such a familiar design, there's practically no learning curve except when trying to figure out which slider controls which aspect of the Alt+Tab preview window. Since most Windows 7 customization utilities tend to ignore the Alt+Tab hot key, Alt+Tab Tuner is a must if you're looking for precise control over Alt+Tab behavior.

"A must-have program for Alt-Tab (and Flip 3-D) users"
Version: Alt+Tab Tuner 1.0.1
Pros
I want the thumbnails from Alt Tab to be bigger, to have more columns and rows, and it does those things. (I prefer Alt Tab than Windows Tab because I can see all the open windows at once.)
Cons
1. It appears that I need to log off and log on for settings to take effect.
2. It appears when too many columns are specified some will be out of the visible screen area.Summary
An easy-to-use program with full functions of what it intends to provide.

"Great idea but needs work."
Version: Alt+Tab Tuner 1.0.1
Pros
It's a good idea. The program might work for some.
Cons
Some of the options didn't work, and at one point, I think when I pressed 'default' it locked everything down and I couldn't change it any longer.
Summary
It's a great idea but it's got some issues. Maybe an update int he future, or even a solution for this by MS(?) If you want to try it [Windows 7] I suggest creating a restore point, first.

"Destroys the Aero functionality permanently!!!"
Version: Alt+Tab Tuner 1.0.1
Pros
Does not need to be installed.
Cons
Does not do what it promises and destroys the Aero functionality of the [Alt]+[Tab] menu permanently: The menu becomes Windows classic style! It cannot undo the changes!
Summary
BE CAREFUL before running the tool! Create a system restore point or backup the image of your system drive before using it!
It cannot make any changes; it only makes your [Alt]+[Tab] menu in Windows classic style and it cannot undo this! -
