Editors' review

The All in the title may be a bit presumptuous, but this video tool ably converts many types of video files. All to AVI VCD SVCD DVD MPEG Converter's real talent is its ability to batch-convert video files. It can, as its name suggests, convert files among various video formats, including the AVI, RealMedia, DVD, VCD, or SVCD digital formats and the NTSC or PAL television formats. However, it doesn't include a player for viewing files before or after conversion--a big drawback. What's more, the trial version allows you to convert only 10 seconds of a given file, which is simply not enough for a thorough test. But if you're willing to buy the program and can live with its limitations, All to AVI VCD SVCD DVD MPEG Converter could come in handy when you have a stack of files that needs attention.

"Why is this product being advertised as "free"?"

    January 19, 2010   |   By stealth_99

Version: All to AVI VCD SVCD DVD MPEG Converter 7.7

    Pros

I like the versatility of the product, but I did not get the chance to confirm that it does what it claims because of deceitful advertising.

    Cons

I think it's low that the only evidence that there was a cost to this program came after the download and after the installation.

    Summary

Can you trust a company that chooses to advertise a product as "free" when it isn't "free" just to get the customer traffic from people who use the word "free" in their web searches? It's dirty, low, deceitful and dishonest! Furthermore, you only find out there is a cost after you install the product. Then you are told you get 10 seconds per video item and windows pop up everywhere asking for your credit card.

Can you imagine having a problem with a purchase and trying to negotiate with such a company after the fact. This company should not be trusted.
