Airy YouTube Downloader for Mac is an effective tool for downloading YouTube videos onto your Mac computer. It has a very streamlined interface with just a couple of options and a copy/paste mechanic. While there is no browser, all you will ever need is the URL of the video you want to download and you can download it in one of numerous formats and resolutions to your computer.
When you install Airy YouTube Downloader, it will create an Application in your Launchpad so you can find it easily. From there, just open the app and paste a URL of a YouTube video into the address bar and press download. You can download multiple videos at once if you want, though the speed can fluctuate depending on your connection. For any video you download, you'll find there are quite a few format options to choose from, including mobile-friendly formats and large video file formats for tablets or Mac desktop playback. You can also integrate it into your browser from the options menu, making it an even more flexible piece of software.
Airy comes with a free trial for five video downloads and requires a paid upgrade of $20 to unlock the full version. It's a great fit for anyone that downloads a lot of videos from the Internet. This is a great tool that is easy to install and responsive, without too many options to get bogged down in. It's recommended for anyone interested in downloading videos from YouTube.

From Eltima Software:
Airy is a YouTube video downloader, i.e. it is an application that allows you to save your favorite YouTube videos so you can watch them whenever you feel like - no matter whether you are connected to the Internet or not and whether it is still available on the web site. The application is capable of handling Full HD and 4K Ultra HD video download without hiccups. Apart from just downloading YouTube videos, Airy allows you to choose a required format and resolution; formats supported include MP4, FLV and 3GP. It also enables you to extract and save only soundtracks - all you have to do is to choose MP3 from the list of the formats displayed when downloading. The app will fetch album art & titles from the files. You can download entire playlists from YouTube, resume paused or interrupted downloads right from where it left off.
What's new in this version:
Improved: free disk space is now reported more accurately, queued and active downloads being considered too.
Fixed: crash at application start in case there were incomplete downloads.
I just got the 1.2.1 version about 8 months ago... they release a 2.?? version and want me to pay to upgrade and pay more to have lifetime upgrades... so when youtube does some little change to make it stop working then you are screwed unless you upgrade...
This is not true. We have added new features in 2nd version of Airy. That?s the reason why upgrade is not free.
We have never charged our users for fixes which were made because of the changes in YouTube algorithm.
- Easy to use
- Not browser dependable (great!)
- Has all the options I need, like convert to mp3 and quality selector (format selector)
- Videos remain easily accessible in a list, great feature
- You can chose download location
- Haven't found any cons on this program
Great app that does what it proposes to do. Works great, never failed on me. It's so easy to use that even a child could use it. Really.
- simple and clean user interface that just works
- you can download source video in any original format
- very useful integration into browser
- you don't need to think about how(!) to download video
- outstanding support when YT changes algorithm...
- no annoying ads
nothing at all
Saves a lot of my time. Browser integration is really great. Moreover Eltima provides excellent support when YT changes webpages...I completely stopped using opensource alternatives and using only Airy.
