Pros

Tons of tools: When you first open Advanced System Optimizer, it will complete a scan with Smart PC Care, which includes sections on disk performance and space, security issues, system driver status, and Registry problems. But that's really just the beginning of what this app can do. Poking around the rest of the interface turns up tools for all kinds of processes, including finding and removing duplicate files, uninstalling programs, fixing common Windows-related problems, and much more.

Clear presentation: The interface is laid out nicely, with clear navigation pathways to help you find the tools you're looking for. This helps make it accessible to users of all experience levels.

Cons

No warnings: While many of the tools Advanced System Optimizer contains are easy and safe to use on your computer indiscriminately, there are some that can do some damage if used improperly. Unfortunately, there is really no warning attached to these features to help inexperienced users know of the potential dangers associated with them.

Bottom Line

Advanced System Optimizer works well to improve your computer's processing speed, and to help you keep it safe from external threats. It's easy enough to use for beginners, but it also offers power features more advanced users will enjoy. It's good to operate with caution, though, particularly if you're not terribly computer savvy.

All over the best tool that one can must have for their PC. The registry cleaner, customized screen settings, undelete function, real-time protection against virus, auto updated drivers, real-time encryption options like configuration makes it highly commendable and may more other necessary features which one couldn't find easily.

ASO will do the total Microsoft disk check for errors. In addition it will check for practically all junk, privacy and security issues, including problems with the registry (which it will optimize, if needed), and will not only search for outdated drivers, but will automatically download and install them for you. In other words it looks for all problems first, then allow one to optimize (correct) everything. Furthermore it has a vast number of other practical checks that it can do for you, and correct if required. You need only take advantage of them. My wife's computer has almost died on two occasions, such that the only means of reaching the desktop has been in Safe Mode. But running ASO's full battery of checks/optimisations, has got it running again as normal.

Those with Norton, might have had red icons against Systweak entries in searches a while back, indicating the site and products were dangerous. Fact is I challenged many of the comments added (incurring Norton's red danger icon), such that for a week or two they became green again: i.e. someone checked and removed the false evaluations? Unfortunately, they were back to red after a few weeks, indicating someone had reversed the corrections. If you've Norton (got rid of mine, which otherwise was great, because they appeared malicious designating ASO files as a dangerous (destroying ASO). I later learned how to keep ASO and Norton (good product otherwise), but too late. Their fault: I could email them! I've a hearing deficit so phone no good! If you have Norton, you might have red icons against Systweak entries in your searches a while back, indicating the site and its products were dangerous. I have been using Advanced System Optimizer since it came out and now it has turn into must to use PC utility. Its system cleaner feature helped me free up 12 gigabytes of disk space; it's a great relief for me. The best thing of this tool is it has everything for you, I can keep my PC clean, protected and optimize my games as well.

Advanced System Optimizer is a superb program. I have been using it for the last 5 years and I am happy that I had given it a try. I find it much better than all other optimization tools I had used before. Its Smart PC Care feature is really very helpful, does almost everything in single click.

I've purchased and used at least 20 different maintenance programs in the last 35 years that I have been using PC's to make my living on. Some are okay, some are ridiculously poor, even harmful, and some are very useful. I have to rate ASO as excellent compared to all of the other maintenance programs that I have used. I have studied all of the reviews that I have found on ASO and I think that anyone that gives this utility a poor rating should look into buying a new and different brand of computer.
Cons
The first time I used the driver utility was a poor experience. Lately though it seems to be considerably more accurate. Although I wouldn't recommend it for the novice user. And the advanced user needs to use caution. Also if it had an optimizer for SSD drives, if thats possible, it would be a more complete package.

A very good reasonably priced utility for keeping PC's uncluttered and running smoothly.

Pros
ASO is one of the best programs I have ever owned. Its thorough purification and cleansing of digital peasantry is ever pleasing to me.
Cons
Do not trust it to download and install missing drivers or to replace outdated ones. I let ASO 'scan for missing and outdated drivers' and it mucked up all of my display drivers. My pc was sickly for a while before I manually downloaded the correct Intel display drivers for my hardware. I admit i'm not much of a techy so unless you know what the program is doing at this point in the 'optimization' I would recommend skipping this stage.
