Version: Advanced Sound Recorder 6.0.21
Pros: If you want straight simple recorder with never ending length! This is it. This is the first product I have ever bought and I love it. I use it for my acoustic guitar and me! People looking for a large program with bells and wistles might look else where. But for me this is perfect.
Cons: Virtually no tech support. designed in 2004. They never responded to my questions. But with the ease of the program you might never have to contact them.

Version: Advanced Sound Recorder 6.0.21
"Sound editor doesn't work - also forced bitrate for MP3"
Cons: Sound editor doesn't allow MP3 bitrate to be varied and forces you to save at 128kbps even if your original file was encoded at a higher rate.
Resultant file was corrupted after trimming. Was of the correct length but merely played a 20 second loop of the opening part of the selected portion of the MP3. As such totally unfit for purpose.

Cons: It just does not work. I try to record and it freezes, "stops working". Tried many times with the information they have on their website. The information is difficult to follow.
