- I purch. this software through Digital River Ind. They processed my order, accepted payment and promptly told me AFTER I purchased the product they had no registration codes available and that I should contact Adv. Sound Recorder. I contacted Adv. Sound Rec. and have received zero response. I've paid for a product I am unable to use, or a business has stolen my money. You decide. My recommendation to you is, DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SOFTWARE. I will come back and amend this review if I receive: A: THE REGISTRATION CODE (which is what I want most) or B. I receive my money back

Sound editor doesn't work - also forced bitrate for MP3

- Sound editor doesn't allow MP3 bitrate to be varied and forces you to save at 128kbps even if your original file was encoded at a higher rate. <p>Resultant file was corrupted after trimming. Was of the correct length but merely played a 20 second loop of the opening part of the selected portion of the MP3. As such totally unfit for purpose.

- If you want straight simple recorder with never ending length! This is it. This is the first product I have ever bought and I love it. I use it for my acoustic guitar and me! People looking for a large program with bells and wistles might look else where. But for me this is perfect.

- Thanxxx Thomas Williams, Ltd!! Got it to record per the Help guide. .... This is a neat program.....like the ease in which you can record in MP3 or WAV w/o using a converter program. I recorded from Spinner & Internet Radio & tweaked the volume controls to get an exact reproduction of the original selection. Tried also recording a CD thru Real Player browser......that worked too. Thanxx

- Well at least I found the volume settings very hard to control - no matter what I changed in the settings recordings continued to have a lot of hiss and static. Maybe just me. It's a nice program, but personally I think I'd just use Win Mx or similar and download the original if music. However, this would come into its own if you listen to unique sound bites or whatever online where you wouldn't be able to go back and get another copy of them any other way. Certainly dead easy to setup and use.
