The new version of this indispensable product doesn't introduce revolutionary changes, but it doesn't have to. As the low-end PDF reader, it simply keeps up with Acrobat Professional and Standard. This release adds the ability to play back embedded multimedia files in MP3, QuickTime, Macromedia Flash, Real, and Windows Media formats, as well as to submit Adobe PDF forms. It also replaces some of the icons in the default interface with optional, dockable toolbars. You might as well install this now before a Web site you visit prompts you to download it, because you'll need it.Publisher's description

Version: Adobe Reader 9.3
Pros: Free. At least it didn't crash my machine.
Cons: Never worked on my Windows XP SP3 machine. I have never had a problem updating automatically. Adobe must have hired someone from Microsoft! I guess I'll have to wait the commensurate 2 months and read all the blogs before doing updates in the future.
Summary: This is a total piece of garbage. An unprofessional release.

Version: Adobe Reader 9.3
"THIS HAS WRECKED MY SYSTEM - STAY WITH 8"
Pros: There are no pros. This is a waste of time.
Cons: This version not only doesn't read PDFs, it wreaks havoc on printer drivers making them unusable by not only Acrobat but any other application. I've done a few system restores to pin it down to Acrobat 9. Save yourself some grief and stay away.
Summary: Head the advice of others and stay well clear of this bug ridden rubbish.
