Securely store passwords, usernames, and the associated URL with this very basic utility. Abylon Keysafe's simple interface was almost certainly set up by a programmer with no input from a designer. The fields are logically presented with simple command buttons, but there's been no attempt to dress it up. And although the language of the commands and installation screens is English, it seems clear they were written by a non-native speaker.
Adding entries merely means clicking a button and adding the pertinent data. With a click you can toggle displaying or hiding the passwords as you add or edit entries. There aren't many fields per entry. You simply list the username, password, and URL. You can add other text in a small entry box if you wish. The program offers a button to open URLs, but no way to capture or import passwords from your browser. Your data is protected by a single password, or a USB stick or CD key. Two levels of encryption are offered with private users employing Blowfish and AES and company-level use utilizing both along with security certificates. In this case, neither is generally more secure than the other.
Though the demo is limited to five entries, that's all you'll need to see what Abylon Keysafe has to offer. Novice users might like its simplicity, but it's far too simple for intermediate to power users.
