Abl2Extract is a powerful PDF Converter tool that lets users convert their PDF data into formatted MS Excel spreadsheets, editable MS Word documents, forms, powerpoint presentations, Autocad (DWG, DXF), Open Office, image formats (jpeg, bmp, png, tiff, etc.), HTML and more. A2E has its own proprietary PDF viewer that allows users to select exactly what they want to convert. Our custom Excel conversion option lets users graphically designate how they want their PDF data converted into excel and then save the template for future use. This ensures perfect conversions into Excel. A2E also converts XPS documents into Word, Excel, Powerpoint and more. XPS is microsoft's PDF competitor available in Vista.

Version 6.0 adds batch conversion of PDFs, PDF to Autocad (DWG and DXF formats) conversion.

Though they required minor editing, this file converter quickly and easily converted our PDFs to Word, Excel, and other file formats. We were, however, disappointed by its double-whammy of a trial limitation.

Able2Extract PDF Converter has a sleek and professional-looking user interface. Intuitive commands and navigational buttons reside at the top of the window. Novice users will especially appreciate the tips and the step-by-step guide it employs to walk you through the conversion process. The process was extremely easy and fast. Once we located our PDF, it was simply a matter of selecting the text we wanted to convert, and clicking on the file format icon on the toolbar. When we converted the PDF text to a Word file, we did have to clean it up a bit, removing a few extraneous lines and characters, but the text itself required no editing whatsoever. The program also has the capability to convert PDFs to HTML, Excel, and text files, which worked perfectly when we put them to the test. The Batch Conversion feature let us add multiple files to convert to the same file format in one fell swoop, a very handy tool for users handling numerous files.

The program offers a built-in Help feature. We were a little put off by its meager seven-day trial period, and three-page conversion limit. We also had to manually remove files during the uninstallation. But despite its few drawbacks, we highly recommend this PDF converter for all user levels.

  "There is are better free products available"

  Pros: It does a reasonable job of accurately converting from PDF

  Cons: It costs $99 when you don't have to pay to get better results

  Summary: There are free converters available that are more accurate than this product. Have a look at www.pdftoword.com and www.pdftoexcelonline.com. You can only convert one PDF at a time, but that is all I generally need to do. Found this software at http:... read more >>

  "easy to download and to use"

  Pros: what i prefer is that he convert pdf document to word in just 10 sec it is a very fast softaware

  "Stellar at Excel conversions"

  Pros: I needed this product to convert a bunch of PDF tables into Excel. This program worked perfectly, and was a far cry better than any of the other similar programs out there that I tried.

  Cons: Not free :)

  Version: Able2Extract PDF Converter 6.0

  "Awesome converter!"

  Pros: Conversion in most cases looks like original document. Minimal tweaking after the fact is required.

  Cons: None that I've found yet.

  Summary: If you have to convert PDF to MS docs, this is the software to buy. My thanks to the developers who made this software available. I love it!
