This video-conversion utility earns our praise for its excellent interface and multiple capabilities. A4 Video Converter not only boasts an aesthetically pleasing design, but its logical and organized structure makes it a no-brainer to use. Besides converting video among several formats, the program now captures video in AVI format from cameras and TV tuner cards. The program extracts audio into a wide range of codecs and can capture movie frames as individual image files. When converting files, you can specify such variables as frame rate, compression, audio format, and bit rate. We only wish the program gave you the same level of control when extracting audio from a video clip. Like every other tool in A4 Video Converter, the splitting feature is easy to use, letting you select starting and ending points via a slider and providing a preview window for reference. The trial version places a watermark on your output files and extracts only half of audio tracks. This utility makes a quality pick for home users, especially those who need powers that go beyond simple conversions.

"**** Poor Service - Cannot contact any email addr"

Pros
NONE. I would not purchase this software. the email addresses listed in their support page do not work.
Cons
I purchased the software thru paypal and still have not received any registration key for the product. I tried to contact the company using their support page email addresses and none of them worked.
Summary
VERY BAD PICK BY CNET FOR RECOMMENDATION. You should be ashamed of yourself for making this a cnet pick app.

Pros
Larger variety of video formats, Nice visual presentation. Have yet to successfully use it. I realy enjoyed the ease of use of this product. Makes transferring less complicated than in other modules.

"does not drag and drop quicktime movies"

Cons
You have to drag and drop movies and while it would drag and drop .mpeg movies, it won't drag and drop quicktime movies. If you're trying to convert a quicktime movie, this isn't the software for you.

Summary
with video converters being dime a dozen this program lack an edge because it wont convert From real media .rm only to .rm.
