Publisher's Description
From A1Tech:
A1Monitor network monitor and Web server monitor 2009 makes sure your TCP/IP and web servers are alive and well. Monitor multiple URLs, ping any IP address, and monitor any other TCP server (FTP, POP3, SMTP, Citrix, telnet). Monitor the computers Memory, CPU, Disk, and Services to make sure the computer you're running A1Monitor on is healthy. See HTML uptime and downtime reports. A1Monitor will notify you by e-mail which can be forwarded to your pager if any of your monitored servers or URLs can't be reached (or returns an unexpected response) a number of times in a row.
It can also reboot your server and/or run a batch file or executable for you when server failures occur. Supports HTTP, HTTPS, ping, FTP, telnet, POP3, SMTP, DNS, Citrix, IMAP and any other port you want to monitor. Supports URL basic authentication (HTTP, HTTPS only). Runs as a service.
What's new in this version: Users can specify the smtp port for the smtp server used to send them email notifications. Other bug fixes and improvements for 2009

"Very effective and time saving"
Version: A1Monitor Network Monitoring & Server Monitor 6.3.8
Pros
Easy to use, simple to understand, low price.
Cons
doesn't have a ton of feature some of the higher priced products have, but those can be too confusing anyway.

"Very simple to use web server monitor"
Version: A1Monitor Network Monitoring & Server Monitor 6.3.8
Summary
a lot of the more expensive monitor programs cost too much and are too hard to setup.
a1monitor is for users that need to make sure their web servers are up and running. It also is great for making sure your other servers are up, like mail servers, dns etc.
