If you've ever had to compare two large Excel spreadsheets, looking for minute differences in hundreds of rows of figures, you know how mind-numbing the task can be. This program runs an automatic comparison between documents, finding differences and presenting them in a convenient HTML-based summary file. Users can select specific document areas to compare, and can save profile settings so the same comparison can be run again later.
In our tests, comparison of two large Excel documents (about 2,500 rows apiece) took about 10 minutes. Advanced users can also use the tool in Visual Basic or Office applications. Overall, we think the program could be an extremely useful and timesaving tool for active Excel users.
4TOPS Compare Spreadsheets features easy to interpret reports using HTML. It generates difference reports in HTML and color highlights the different cells showing what was added, removed or changed. With the hyperlinks you easily navigate from the differences report to the location where the differences.
