Despite the wealth of content available on YouTube, it still can't be enjoyed offline. 4Media YouTube Video Converter for Mac converts YouTube videos into watchable files, but at a relatively high price for its features.
While the full program requires a payment of $30.99, the free trial version allows a user to test its features, but with a three-minute limit on converted videos. 4Media YouTube Video Converter for Mac downloaded and installed quickly despite a size of over 100MB. After a brief loading time, the program revealed an interface that was slightly cluttered but functional. Instructions existed for only the most basic functions, but it appears the product has good technical support and overall design. Users are able to paste a YouTube video link into a menu resembling a browser bar to convert videos with default settings. In order to access additional options, one may also navigate to the video in the program's own browser. Conversion formats are listed based on devices used rather than the format itself, making it ideal for novice users. Playing the converted videos was easy, and there was no loss of video or audio quality. Unfortunately, no option exists to increase the video to a better quality, so standard or low-definition YouTube videos stay that way in the conversion.
While the quality of the conversions was good and matched the original content, 4Media YouTube Video Converter for Mac's price tag may justify using other options for watching YouTube videos offline.

Pros
Not only download to computer, but also to Apple device. Enjoy YouTube videos anywhere.
Cons
can not save to device directly. iTunes is needed.
