  This software does everything that I need it to do with audio editing. It should be more than sufficient for most people's needs.

  Absolutely none.

  Be careful to go to the NCH website and download the 'FREE' version which won't have any time limitation.

  Found this after trying another editor on Cnet that did not work. This was much quicker to download, easier to use and worked well.

  great editing tools. easy to use. extremely flexible. decent GUI

  It's not really free. It stops functioning as a free program with out notice. Expensive. Many other programs out there cost less with many more features

  If this program were truly free as advertized I would use it consistently and probably upgrade to a paid version. however since the program stopped functoning as a free program in the middle of my project.. I can not recommend this program to anybody.. its a shame. seemed like it might just be a great program

  Very user friendly even for the novice, as I was years ago when I first discovered this program (like version 1.xx).

  Cons

  USELESS AFTER TRAIL PERIOD! I recently built a new pc, thus I had to reinstall a ton of software. This was one of the programs to reinstall. After the 14-day trial ended I was no longer able to save any of my work. It comes back with a pop up that states, this feature is only available with the Master's Edition.

  Pros

  It's easy to learn and easy to use. As a matter of fact, I'm using it right now in another window to preview music to cut samples out of. I use this program every day. The more advanced features take some trial and error to get used to, but it's a powerful, easy to use tool for editing audio.

  Cons

  You can only load 15 tracks at a time, and the "Noise Reduction" feature could use some tweaking, but aside from that it's ideal.

  Summary

  A powerful, easy to use tool for editing audio. Try it. If you don't like it, uninstall it.
