The Clearcast Supers Timer also known as the Duration of Hold Calculator determines the duration of hold required for the specified legal text during a TV Advertisement according to BCAP's Guidance on Superimposed Text. By typing the required text in the main box and clicking calculate, the application will count the number of words for which timing should be applied to and then calculates the required hold duration required to comply with BCAP regulations. Excluded terms such as product and brand names can be entered into the excluded terms page and then are not used in the calculation.This application is intended for use by Creative and Advertising Agencies producing Advertisments for Broadcast on UK television.
