  Pros

  1) It's got a decent Music Video in Broccoli TV, which plays music videos from the 70's, 80's, and 90's. 2) It's got a nice array of classic TV show from the 1950's- Jack Benny, Burns and Allen (George Burns and his wife Gracie, that is) and other hard to find shows from an era not seen anymore. 3) There is a nice tab listing of different channels, from Music to cartoon, movies, sports

  Cons

  There's a great deal of TV channels that don't work most of the time, if at all. They are almost never able to be seen when you want to see them. When you want to see something that interests you, the channel is too weak to come in, and thus is not able to be seen. I would say about 1/3 or more of them are not broadcasting, if at all. The cartoon channel has almost no selection to it. It only shows very old, very dull, and uninteresting cartoons from the 1940's and 50's that very few if any are familiar with. Outside of Popeye, there are seldom anything good to watch. There needs to be more relevant and newer cartoons from the 1960's to now that should be shown, are far more often, if possible.

  Summary

  Overall, it's a nice program to have when nothing else is on regular TV. I have had TVU player for many years now, and it's okay- not bad, but not great either. If it had better and a larger variety of on-demand shows- especially classic shows, Sitcoms and cartoons from the 1960's to present, then I would rate it higher.

  Pros

  I like TVU quite a lot. Being a professional linguist, I love to browse TV stations from all over the world. TVU makes this possible. I can even record my favorite programs! The service is available 24/24

  Cons

  Sometimes you don't see your program because of connection problems. The images are far from being perfect sometimes.

  Summary

  All in all, IHO, TVU is one of the best live -TV players right now. Of course you will have to do a little housekeeping ( select your favorites), but after that you will have your personal cable TV ...without paying a single euro. ( If you want to record, it's possible...and cheap.)
