ThanCad for Linux stores the drawing elements in memory so they can be accessed fast. Visualize the drawing elements into screen. Get interactive input from the user. Create simple elements and capabilities. Implement layers. Design the user interface so that it can easily be translated to various languages. It can store drawings to disk and plot drawings to plotters and printers. Export to dxf (easy) and Import from dxf (difficult). Insert raster into drawings.
