Yusuf Ziya ni bakanlnda 1923 ylnda kurulan Trkiye Futbol Federasyonu, kuruluunun ardndan FIFAya bavurmu ve 21 Mays 1923 tarihinde FIFA'nn 26. yesi olmutur.Bir sonraki dnem, Trk futbolunun gelimesinin devam diye zetlenebilir. 1952'de profesyonelliin kabulnn ardndan 1954'te A Milli Takm svire'de dzenlenen Dnya Kupas'na tarihinde ilk defa katlmay baarmtr. 1996da ise Trkiye, tarihinde bir ilki daha gerekletirip ngilterede dzenlenen Avrupa ampiyonas finallerinde mcadele etmitir. Bu dnemden sonra, A Milli Takm EURO 2000e de katlmaya hak kazanp, bu turnuvada eyrek finale ykselmitir.2002 yaz ise Trk futbol tarihinin en unutamayaca gnlerine sahne olmutur. Trkiye FIFA 2002 Dnya Kupasn 3. srada tamamlamay baararak bir kendi adna rekora imza atmtr.
