This app is a handy reminder for the various parameters used in the Manchester Early Warning Scoring system for paediatric patients. Choose the child's age category by the bottom tab button, then use the sliders to set the recorded observations. By entering all the observations for a child in the appropriate age section the screen colour automatically displays the child's ManchEWS status.This app is intended for use by health care professionals who have undergone the mandatory training associated with this system and it is not a substitute for clinical assessment. Observation data should be entered on the medical and nursing notes as is standard practice.
