Lightning Distance Calculator for Android

This app helps you calculate how far a lightning strike is from you. This app works by taking into consideration the difference in propagation speeds of light and sound. This app helps you time the duration between the lightning flash and the sound of thunder and uses this to calculate the approximate distance. A log of previous strikes is also shown at the bottom of the screen.

Please remember that this app only provides an approximate distance as the speed of sound changes with atmospheric conditions.
