ZapTix

Founded in May 2005 by Christian Perry, ZapTix empowers performance groups, organizations, companies, conventions, and individuals to sell tickets and organize events online. The vision for ZapTix came in the early spring of 2005, when Christian was a student at the University of Chicago. He was acting in a small musical performance put on by Naked Theater, a small student-run theater troupe.

A lot of people wanted to reserve seats in advance, so Christian suggested that the group sell their tickets online. The director sprang for it, and so Chrisitian made a small page on the theater's site for anyone who wanted to buy them.
