TTHONLINE

TTH was founded by Nigel Town in 2004 when his youngest daughter started school. He observed that, despite a massive increase in the technology available in the classroom, the teaching of handwriting was largely still done as it was when he started school - some decades before. But, back then the classroom was full of handwriting because, ahead of our technological revolution, it was pretty much the only way to get any message across. A modern classroom, he observed is full of words, but almost all of them are generated by computer - and do not reinforce handwriting at all. This lead to a number of projects aimed at trying to get the technology employed to do more, because, as a long sufferer of Dyslexia, Nigel knew that without legible handwriting children cannot succeed as well at any level in education. In fact, research has shown that good handwriting alone is worth at least a grade higher in any examination, regardless of actual academic ability.
