We are a couple of ex and current MIT students who wanted to create a completely new opportunity for local communities to socialize. Given that students hang out together, are highly social, and are interested in meeting new people, we saw Rakket as a perfect way to improve students' local interactions in dorms, classrooms, and the like. We integrated with Facebook to meet their needs.
