While training to be a doctor in a foreign country, I had to support myself and my family while working part time, attending university, and studying for exams. I somehow managed while at university, but after graduation, and actually working in a hospital, I just could not find the time to study for specialist exams. Even when I did, the new things learnt were quickly forgotten always being replaced by more urgent matters. Everyone knows that concentration is necessary for effecting learning, but this is not always possible in the working environment. What is needed to away to periodically refresh your memory, so that your brain knows what you have learnt is just as important to you as those urgent matters occurring around you. Due to lack of time however, this refreshing should only occur on facts that you are not confident on.
