MoneyTrail is a free, online allowance and money management system for kids, teens and families. MoneyTrail simplifies the tracking of financial transactions within the family. Kids track their cash, IOUs, allowance, gift cards and checks and, in the process, learn smart saving and spending skills. Knowing how much money they have reduces the chances of blowing their money on impulse purchases. Parents save time by eliminating the hunt for the calendar to determine when allowance was last paid or how much money is owed. Parents can also keep cash in their wallets by paying their children with credit (IOUs).
In addition to the website for computers (www.moneytrail.net), MoneyTrail has a mobile site, m.moneytrail.net, that allows users to view balances and enter transactions on their cell phones or handheld devices. Current supported devices include the iPhone, the iTouch, BlackBerry phones, Android phones and the Nintendo DSi.
