Jagex Games Studio

Jagex Games Studio is a world leading independent computer games developer specializing in the development of high quality browser based games. The studio is best known for RuneScape, the world's largest free-to-play MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game), and FunOrb, the recently released online games portal. Jagex currently employs almost 400 people across two Cambridge studios under the leadership of CEO Mark Gerhard and Jagex's Founder and Principal Architect Andrew Gower. Underpinning all Jagex games are proprietary network communication and graphics compression technologies, all developed by Jagex's in-house technology team. These technologies have allowed Jagex to develop and publish multiple online titles which are enjoyed by millions of players around the world.
