INRIA, the French national institute for research in computer science and control, is dedicated to fundamental and applied research in information and communication science and technology. The ASCLEPIOS project at INRIA is itself focusing on medical image processing and analysis. It has three main objectives: 1)Analysis of Biomedical Images with advanced geometrical, statistical, physical and functional models, 2) Simulation of Physiological Systems with Computational Models built from biomedical images and other signals, 3) Application of previous tools to Medicine and Biology to assist prevention, diagnosis and therapy.
