Florencesoft TextDiff is a useful tool for software developers as it finds the difference between plain text files, such as source code, XML and scripts. It will compare one folder (directory) against another and report the changed, new and deleted files.
If Microsoft Word is installed as a desktop application, it will compare the text portion of Word documents. It will not compare the formatting, tables, graphics or pictures however.
TextDiff also compares Rich Text Format (RTF) files.
TextDiff will also report and remove duplicated lines in lists.
