ComicVine

ComicVine was originally constructed during a 11-week marathon coding session in the Fall of 2006 by Ethan Lance (code) and Dave Snider (design/css). It's a site where professionalism was thrown out the window and and suits were replaced with color co-ordinated underwear. Dave and Ethan met and previously worked for CNET Networks where, along with some other fine engineers, they helped launch TV.com and MP3.com from scratch.

In early 2006, both left to found Enemy Kite, LLC with the intention of focusing on user-centric, quality sites in passionate niches. Boompa.com, Enemy Kite's first site, focused on people's love of their cars and launched in May of 2006. The site also provided a stable code base to build ComicVine on.
