ArchiCad Experts (ACE) is an informal, not-for-profit online community, based in Toronto. It was initiated in October 2006, by ArchiCad users based in the Northeast. ACE offers a professional dialogue about how to use Graphisoft's ArchiCad10 software to maximum advantage. Those of us advancing the charge had better be well equipped, and so this forum will also serve as;

a repository of collective BIM wisdom (05 | methods)

tools and templates (04 | downloads)

and a calendar of workshops and user group meetings (03 | events)

a portal to all of the best ArchiCad related resources and BIM articles

The goal is to form a group of local ArchiCad "aces" that can help implement the software in the way that it was intended. The fact that there is an intended use for the software does not necessarily mean that it actually works as intended. It may. There is clear distinction between the limitations of the software - and the limitations of the user. We intend to clarify the difference, by sharing both experiences in productivity gain, as well as the pain involved in getting productive, as any BIM solution tends to be front-end heavy with regards to both capital (hardware, software licenses and plugins and add-ons) and human resources (training, and loss of productivity until proficiency is attained).
