AccountSoft was established in 1983, producing public accounting software and other industry specific software. Many products produced in the late 80s and 90s are still in use in their original form today! From 2000 the company has developed Emergency Recovery Management Software widely used by local councils in the bushfires in Victoria(Aust.) in 2009. It won the 2008 Australian National EMA award. Partly due to these experiences, the need was recognised for a system that helps keep all the records for families in a cogent form which is easily duplicated and backed up, and therefore resistant to disasters. This gradually grew into a fully fledged system for managing all aspects of personal records, including photos and documents, and the historical perspective along with them. The result is FamilyWiz!, a tool that is avidly used by company staff, and ready for wider distribution. AccountSoft is a service oriented company and wishes to develop the product in partnership with users.
