VQ Probe is a professional visual instrument for objective and subjective video quality probation. It supports commonly used quality metrics and modern standards. The key usage model is to compare two implementations of the same codec standard or two different revisions of a codec. Furthermore, it also allows users to compare between different codec standards building RD curves and calculating BD Rate.
