• SUPERB! - Go For It

  Preserves format of pdf after conversion to Word - OUTSTANDING! Simple clean interface Lightweight (opposite of other bloatware) FAST conversions

  This software genuinely deserves a lot more positive reviews I wasted two days of research and trying other apps until I came across this one that I wish I has found first.

  There is no way to select files. You're supposed to drag and drop files, but every time i tried to drag and drop, UNI PDF refused to accept the file.

• Brilliant bit of freeware!

  Pros

  With this you can take any pdf and convert it into a Word doc that has the same pages, font, formatting, colour and even illustrations as the original pdf. Then you can do anything with it the result that you can do with Word - you can add or remove bits, edit bits, copy and paste sections (imagine if you're only interested in saving a couple of paragraphs out of a whole pdf), there is no limit. Then, if you want, you can always use Word to save it as a pdf again! Files can be added by drag & drop, alternatively there is an 'Add' button that will open your folders. Other output options are to convert to an image, plain text, or HTML, and you can set your preferred destination.

  Cons

  As other reviewers have pointed out, you need to be very, very cautious when you install it, by being sure to untick and decline every additional product that you don't want. That's why I've reduced the stars to 4.

  Summary

  Prior to finding UniPDF I only had a program that converted pdf to text. This is far superior.

  Pros

  This is a great program. I have not found any problems with it. If you are looking for a PDF to Word converter, then this is your program. It also conversts to jpg as well as some other formats. It's a winner!!

  Cons

  There are several other programs that come with this installation. You should "DECLINE" all of the other programs. So, do not just keep clicking "accept" on each step in the process. Read what the program is doing. I think that I only accepted UniPDF and declined everything else. So, no malware here!!

  Summary

  Get it now!!! And CNET needs to review it! Where are you CNET?

  Pros

  Converted a 45 page document that others would not/ could not handle. Does batch conversions. You don't need any explanation it is obvious how to use it. If the output layout is not perfect in Word by converting to HTML and it will be. Loads more pros, they are obvious when you use it.

  Cons

  None, it is a very well made simple intuitive tool

  Summary

  Free, intuitive, flexible, fast and simply the best.
