UltraISO supports nearly all known CD/DVD image file formats (.ISO, .BIN, .IMG, .CIF, .NRG, .MDS, .CCD, .BWI, .ISZ, .DMG, .DAA, .UIF, .HFS and so on) , and can convert them to the industry standard and widely supported ISO image format. Can directly edit the ISO image file, and can directly extract files and folders from ISO image file. Can add / delete /create new directory /rename ISO file image content. Can create CD/DVD image from CD/DVD-ROM, maintain bootable information. Erase erasable meadia. The double window user interface is extremely convenient to use. There are rich add-on tools, you can create ALL in 1 bootable compact discs, CD/DVD image file management, even the virtual CD/DVD drive, those functions are really powerful. In my opinion UltraISO is the better one out there. At $29.95 is not bad for a feature rich application with a good looking GUI. One of their rivals PowerISO is priced the same but not as featured rich. All purchases are lifetime of the product.

The program didn't install unwanted applications on your computer, you did. You just skimmed through the install process without reading and opting out of the other apps. UltraISO don't work with Mac computers only Windows. If you have done your research you would have known this before finding out the hard way. There are alternatives for Mac computers as you have discovered. UltraISO Premium once paid for on Windows is a very good program to have. It can duplicate retail discs, create and burn, and extract to and from images in a nice looking interface. You can also make Multiboot discs with a third party add on. It can now handle .DAA format that was only previously featured in PowerISO. So it can handle just about every image format out there for Windows.

This was my first time to put downloaded movies on dvd. I thought everything was going fine but my dvd's would not play in the dvd player. I paied 30 bucks for this:(

Not sure what you did, but video DVDs have a special format that requires transcoding, conversion and a lot of other things. There is specialized software to do that and UltraISO is not one of such titles - it's beyond its scope and capabilities. If you just created an ISO with video files and expected the disc to play on a DVD player, it would never work, really. (Hint: the disc should contain a folder called VIDEO_TS with a lot of files with weird names like VIDEO_TS.VOB and VTS_01_0.IFO for your DVD player to recognize and play it.)

I love UltraISO, but it can't be among the best burning software, because it doesn't burn discs at all (although it can be integrated to Nero Burning ROM if you have it installed as well). UltraISO is used to manipulate, edit and create image files that can later be burned onto an optical disc, but you'll need other software to do that (Nero Burning ROM, CDBurnerXP, ImgBurn, InfraRecorder, Deep Burner, etc.).

Testing the trial to add 1 simple file to the ISO. Having found and added the file, I burned the ISO as a booting CD. (Win98)
However the file on the CD was NEVER EVER ADDED. FAIL. BIG FAIL. This trial is supposed to give you a 300 Megabyte freedom.
Summary
FAILED when testing the trial. File was not added, despite it looked like it was coming along, when editing ISO. FAILED trial testing.
This trial Con will give it half a star from me, currently.

I have been using UltraISO for years and such an error never happened to me, and I've done the sort of thing you did (i.e., adding a file) dozens of times. Maybe you didn't save the changed ISO and used the original disc image?

It works every time, to make DVD's that I can re-burn to New Media. I can also depend on this to Create Custom DVD's that I can work with.

UltraISO worked well for me, and I would have given it 3.5 stars, but soon after downloading it an Avast anti-virus boot scan found the following infected file: "cnet2_uiso9_pe_exe.exe|>[UPX] is infected by Win32:InstallCore-AM [PUP]".
Cons
Evidently the CNET download of UltraISO included some malware known as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) that may have tried to install the Blekko toolbar, an option that I declined when I installed UltraISO. So now you have been warned!

why u blame ultraiso and gave it 2 star while the infected file (pup) is the cnet downloader and my eset too catch this downloader as pup
so i started to use the direct download link or just download it from another site. grow up

A PUP is not exactly malware, at least in the sense that word is usually understood, although it can be annoying, unwanted and a breech of privacy. It comprises such things as browser toolbars, ad servers, etc., with the purpose either of showing you ads or collecting demographic consumer profiles for ad companies. The ubiquitous and infamous Ask toolbar is the best-known example.
They usually play on you absent-mindedly authorizing their installation without realizing what you're doing (e.g., you just keep clicking "Next" without really reading when you install a program).
That said, I use a lot of great software that includes PUPs in the installation (developers are paid to include them), and one is missing a lot if one avoids such titles altogether. I recommend that you always pay very close attention to every installation screen, as some can be tricky.
