Developer’s Description

Install Fedora, Ubuntu, or Debian Linux on Windows or Linux without needing a CD.

UNetbootin allows users to install Linux or create bootable liveUSB drives without a CD. UNetbootin has built-in support for numerous distributions, including Ubuntu, Fedora, openSUSE, PCLinuxOS, Linux Mint, ArchLinux, Debian, CentOS, Frugalware, FreeBSD, NetBSD, and Parted Magic, though many other distributions can also be installed via an existing ISO or floppy/hard disk image file. Version 240 adds support for additional distributions.

Pros
I used this to create several bootable usb keys (debian, peppermint os, xubuntu). It works, and is mindbogglingly simple to use.
Cons
Can't think of any.
Summary
It does what it purports to do. I've created bootable usb keys "by hand", and, for many things prefer to use the command line, but, when a couple of clicks allow me to do something that would otherwise require a handful of commands (or, duh, a script), why not use it?

Pros
I used it to install an iso of linux on my 2G USB flash drive. It worked flawlessly. It is a simple interface. You tell it what iso to install and what drive to install it onto and it does the work.
Cons
none so far.
Summary
If you want to install ISO files on CD-Rs, DVD-+Rs or USB flash drives then this is the utility for you.

I couldn't get into a GUI (Graphical User Interface) for a week after I used this, until I reinstalled Vista. Don't touch this unless you're really comfortable with a Linux command line interface.
