Though this program simplifies the process of creating a Web photo gallery, we wish it were more flexible. Upon launch ThumbTack prompts you to browse to a folder where your images reside; we'd prefer a filetree structure so we could grab images from multiple locations. After you hit the Generate button, you can easily configure the size of thumbnails, number of rows and columns, and which types of images to include. You can order shots by size, name, or date, but you unfortunately cannot manually configure the order to your liking. You can further customize your album by adding a title; choosing from a number of background designs; appending navigation arrows; and changing font styles, sizes, and colors. You will find a simple built-in FTP client, but from what we can tell, you can't simply save galleries to your local machine as an HTML file. Novices with no coding experienced seeking a quick-and-dirty way to put photos online are most likely to benefit from ThumbTack.
