Used The Weather Channel: Forecast, Radar & Alerts for iOS?
Editors’ Review
The Weather Channel gives you access to weather conditions in your current location or anywhere else in the world. Just let the app use GPS to find you, or type in the name of a city you're interested in, and you'll have a full forecast in front of you in no time.
Pros
Swipe through locations: You can add several different locations to your list of favorites, so you can quickly see what's going on there. From your home location, just swipe left to start paging through other cities to see what kind of weather your friends and family are having or to help you make the best packing decisions.
Multiple aspects: In addition to current information on temperature, wind direction and speed, humidity, and UV index, this app offers a lot of other types of data. Scrolling up reveals an hourly forecast with temperature and chance of precipitation, a 10-day forecast, and a current radar map for your location.
Cons
Banner ads: There are banner ads mixed in with the different weather information sections that you scroll through. Their placement right in the middle of your content makes it easy to hit them by accident.
Radar bugs: The radar map didn't always load during testing. There is also the option to play either the past radar or future projected, but that didn't always seem to work right, either.
The Weather Channel app offers a lot of information in a smooth and attractive interface. While there are some bugs, it's definitely one of the better options for weather apps.
