Solve the mystery of a lost Spanish silver mine, find a lost Native American heritage, and save the whole Western frontier-town of year 1882.

An interactive story set in a Western frontier-town in 1882, Dust is an exploration-based narrative adventure with arcade features. The setting is the town of Diamondback, a frontier outpost in the New Mexico Territory in the year 1882. As the story opens, the player wanders into town, having no money and no gun. Exploring the town and its various locales, the player begins to meet and converse with the town's various offbeat inhabitants. Perception and judgment are key as the player must adjust to an unfamiliar and volatile setting, learn the personalities of the townspeople, and elicit the friendship or help of the ones who might be trustworthy. Over the course of five days and nights, the player may become involved in a variety of confrontations, challenging predicaments, and, ultimately, a battle of greed and destiny involving a trove of Spanish silver, a Native American schoolteacher, and her tribe's lost heritage.

This is one of four demo's currently available for Dust. The Blackjack, Target Range, Serpent Puzzle, and Slot Machine demo's allow you to experience several small aspects of the frontier town of Diamondback, New Mexico. The full game has more than 35 talking characters, a fully navigable 3-D environment, dozens of puzzles, and an easy-to-use interface.
