SimpleMind+ is a mind-mapping tool that offers a nice set of options to help you organize your thoughts and flesh out your ideas. Its clean interface offers a large, blank canvas for you to use as you see fit, and there are few limitations to how you can organize info in this space.
Theme options: This app features 11 different options for the style of the mind map you create, meaning that you can make your project look exactly the way you want it to. Some styles include Colors on Black, Gray Scale, Golden Colors, Soft Colors, and Pastel Colors.
Good tool set: While the set of tools that this app comes with is hardly extensive, it does provide all of the basic items you'll need to create a useful and fluid mind map. Tools for creating new node connections are right on the screen at all times, and you can drag the whole mind map or individual nodes to get their relationships just the way you want them.
Content limitations: In this free app, you can include all kinds of text in your mind maps, but multimedia options are limited. For instance, you are not able to include hyperlinks or images in your projects.
SimpleMind+ is a good, free option when you're looking for a basic mind mapping program. If you're interested in more powerful features, you can upgrade to the paid version of this app for $4.99, but it's nice to be able to try out the interface and basic features for free to see if the app is a good fit for you. And if you don't need more than the free version provides, you can use it indefinitely without ever having to pay.
• Progress bar checkboxes (0% - 100%) and Roll-up progress checkboxes (progress automatically calculated by averaging progress from children).
• Set a date for a topic.
• Insert Sibling Topic: similar to add sibling, but orders new sibling before current topic in parent. In auto layout mode the position on the mind map page is set accordingly.
